Henrietta Leaver (born March 28, 1916 in Monongahela near Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania as Henrietta Applegate , † September 18, 1993 in the United States ) was the ninth Miss America in 1935 .
Live and act
Henrietta Leaver worked in a small general store in McKeesport . She won the Miss McKeesport title for the first time in 1933 , repeated this success in 1935 and also won the Miss Pittsburgh title at a beauty pageant . In the same year she won the Miss America title in Atlantic City .
