Henry A. Alviani
Henry A. "Hank" Alviani (born June 15, 1949 in Burbank ) is an American composer , choir conductor and music teacher .
Alviani studied music education at Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles, choral conducting at California State University in Fullerton (master's degree) and choral music at Arizona State University (doctoral degree). His teachers included Paul Salamunovich , Howard Swan and Douglas McEwen . He performed twice with Helmuth Rilling at the Oregon Bach Festival , once as a member of his master class.
He then led school choirs at high schools in Southern California for twelve years, taught singing, choral conducting, music theory and history at colleges in Texas and Wisconsin from 1993 and became director of choral music at Clarion University in 2003 . He composed choral works and published an A “How-To” Owner's Manual for Vocal Students and Teachers .
