Harry Bagge

Henry John "Harry" Bagge (born September 15, 1896 in Tottenham , † April 27, 1967 ) was an English football player and coach.

Athletic career

Bagge moved up from youth at Tottenham Hotspur just before the First World War , but was not used until the war began. During the war he served in the Royal Naval Air Service , in March 1919 he was transferred to the reserve . From 1919 Bagge ran for Fulham FC in the Second Division . By 1926 he played 179 league games for the club. Then he was under contract from November of that year at Northfleet United , The Wednesday and Clapton Orient , before a stay abroad at Athletic Bilbao followed.

In the 1940s and 1950s, Bagge worked as a coach in Spain. With Athletic Bilbao he was in the final of the Copa del Generalísimo 1948/49 against Valencia CF , which was lost 0-1 after a goal by Epi . Later he worked for the UD Salamanca .
