Henry Batista

Henry Batista ( February 3, 1914 , † August 15, 2002 in Palm Desert , California ) was an American film editor .

Life

Batista began working in the field of film editing in the mid-1930s . Until 1946 he was mainly involved in short films, followed by numerous films by 1955. From 1955 to 1977 he was almost without exception involved in various television productions. In total, he worked on more than 90 productions.

Together with William A. Lyon , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 1955 for work on The Caine Her Fate .
