Henry Beaumont (knight)

Sir Henry Beaumont of Wednesbury ( 1438 - November 16, 1471 ) was an English knight .

Life

Henry Beaumont was a son of Henry Beaumont and Joan Heronville.

Beaumont fought on the side of the House of York at the Battle of Blore Heath (1459), Barnet and Tewkesbury (1471) during the Wars of the Roses . After the victorious Battle of Tewkesbury Henry Beaumont was given by Edward IV. The accolade as a Knight Bachelor .

In early 1471 Beaumont held the office of sheriff of Staffordshire .

Marriage and offspring

Henry Beaumont was married to Eleanor, daughter of John Sutton, 1st Baron Dudley . The couple had three children:
