Henry Blatter (born November 1, 1966 in Leipzig ) is a former German handball player .

Henry Blatter was a GDR junior national player and played for SC Empor Rostock . During a handball tournament in Munich in autumn 1986, the 1.97 meter tall backcourt player, together with Fred Radig and Mario Wille, pulled away from the team. They were given the promise not to be punished for their escape from the GDR on their return, but stayed in Munich and joined the Bundesliga club MTSV Schwabing . In 1987 they moved together to THW Kiel , where Blatter stayed until 1992. After that he played for TBV Lemgo , HSG Dutenhofen / Münchholzhausen , SG Hameln and VfL Pfullingen .
