Henry Campotosto
Henry Campotosto (* 1833 in Brussels , † 1910 in London ) was a Belgian genre painter.
Campotosto studied painting at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles . He then worked as a freelance genre painter in Brussels until 1870. He took part in the Paris World's Fair in 1867 . He painted some pictures together with Eugène Verboeckhoven .
In 1871 he moved to London with his family and stayed there for life. He exhibited his works in the Royal Academy Exhibition until 1874 and in the Suffolk Street Gallery from 1878.
In 1880 he took part in the Berlin Academy Exhibition. His daughter Octavia also became a painter, visited Italy, showed her pictures from 1871 to 1874 at the Royal Academy.
