Henry Fenwick Reeve
Henry Fenwick Reeve (born April 7, 1854 in Kent , † January 18, 1920 ) was a British colonial administrator and writer.
Life
Reeve was the son of Allen Reeve and Priscilla (nee Fenwick). He received private lessons, then attended St. Peter's College and then went to Melbourne University .
He served under the British colonial governments of New South Wales , Victoria , Fiji , the Windward Islands , Gambia and Lagos . During his time in The Gambia he was employed as chief commissioner of the Anglo-French Border Commission , 1895-1896 and 1898-1899. In 1902 he was deputy governor of Lagos.
For his services as a British representative in the Anglo-French Commission for the demarcation of the Gambian border, he was awarded the Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George in 1900 .
