Henry George Macleod
Sir Henry George Macleod ( October 4, 1791 - August 24, 1847 ) was a British officer and colonial administrator .
biography
Henry George Macleod was born on October 4, 1791. His father was Lieutenant General Sir John Macleod.
In 1843 he married Henrietta Robinson, daughter of Baronet Sir John Robinson. He held the rank of Colonel and was the British Governor General of Trinidad between 1840 and 1846 . He was succeeded by George Harris .
He died on August 24, 1847. He was buried in St. Peter and St. Andrew Churchyard in Old Windsor , Berkshire .
