Henry James Hope
Henry James Hope (born September 3, 1912 in Hobart , Tasmania , † September 30, 1965 in Sydney , New South Wales ) was an Australian politician ( ALP ).
Hope was elected to the House of Assembly , the lower house of the Tasmanian Parliament , in the Franklin constituency in 1941 for the Australian Labor Party , of which he was a member from December 13, 1941 to November 23, 1946. He was unable to defend his seat in the 1946 elections. In 1948 he was re-elected to the House of Assembly . This time, however, in the Denison constituency. Hope was a member of parliament from August 28, 1948 to May 6, 1950. In the 1950 elections he was unable to defend his seat.
