Henry Medarious (born September 20, 1998 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player who is mainly used as a striker and right winger. Since 2015 he has been playing in the professional team of SC Covilhã with games in the second-rate Portuguese Segunda League , but continues to play in the youth department and the club's second combat team.

Career

Medarious played in Madina for local club Lazio FC . He was part of the Ghanaian U-17 national team , which won a four-nation tournament in Namibia in 2014 and contributed two goals to the 6-4 success in the final qualifying round for the 2015 U-17 African Championship against Cameroon. However, the team was disqualified a little later because of the involvement of an ineligible player. At the beginning of 2015, he was also invited to a training camp for the Ghanaian U-20 team.

At the end of August 2015, the Portuguese second division club SC Covilhã announced the commitment of the then 17-year-old Ghanaian. At the club from the city of Covilhã on the southern edge of the Serra da Estrela National Park , he was not only brought into the professional and amateur squad, but was also eligible to play for the youth department at the same time. In the 2015/16 season , at 16 years and 358 days before goalkeeper Léo (17 years and two days) and behind goalkeeper Rogério Santos (16 years, eight months and three days), he is the second youngest player in the league. He made his debut on September 12, 2015 in the sixth round in a 1-1 home draw against SC Farense , when he came on in the 57th minute for the Congolese-born French Elton Boketsu .

Subsequently, he was mainly used in the second combat team, for which he already scored seven goals in his first three league appearances, including two hat tricks. Due to his early success with the amateurs, Francisco Chaló brought him into the professional squad as a permanent substitute, especially from November 2015, and regularly made short appearances in the championship. To date (as of March 7, 2016), the native Ghanaian has played in five professional league games in which he has so far remained goalless. For the B-team with play in the 20-track Portuguese fourth division he has so far (as of March 7, 2016) scored nine goals in five championship games.
