Sir Henry Edgar Paston-Bedingfeld, 10th Baronet (born December 7, 1943 ) is an English genealogist and heraldist .

Life

Paston-Bedingfeld is the eldest son of Sir Edmund Paston-Bedingfeld , 9th Baronet, and his wife, Joan Lynette Rees. After his death in 2011 he inherited his title of nobility of the Baronet of Oxborough in the County of Norfolk . From his marriage to Mary Ambrose in 1968, he has two daughters and two sons.

He received his education at Ampleforth College in Yorkshire . In 1968 he was officially approved as an auctioneer and became a Fellow of the Auctioneers' Institute . In 1970 he became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors . He entered the College of Arms in 1983 as a Rouge Croix Pursuivant ; In 1993 he was named the York Herald . From September 26, 2010 to June 30, 2014, he was the successor to Patric Dickinson Norroy and Ulster King of Arms . He held the office of the lowest of the three English Kings of Arms .

In his career he made two trips to Hong Kong and Canada, and his many trips to the United States have been to develop the College of Arms' relationships with its supporting organizations and individuals, particularly the College of Arms Foundation . Paston-Bedingfeld is particularly active in the English heraldry and was for many years honorary vice-president of the Cambridge University Heraldic and Genealogical Society and other heraldic societies and founder and president of the Norfolk Heraldry Society . From 1984 to 1988 he was Secretary of the Standing Council of the Baronetage and is a member of the Executive Committee. It is an active member of CILANE, the Commission d'Information et de Liaison des Associations Nobles d'Europe .
