Henry Rowley Bishop
Sir Henry Rowley Bishop (born November 18, 1786 in London , † April 30, 1855 there ) was an English composer. His songs Home! Sweet home! from the operas Clari, or the Maid of Milan and Lo, Hear the Gentle Lark from Bishop's setting of William Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors .
On June 1, 1842 Bishop became a Knight Bachelor ( "Sir") beaten , as the first composer ever, the was bestowed this award.
