Henry Jocelyn Seymour, 9th Marquess of Hertford (born July 6, 1958 ) is a British peer .

He is the son of Hugh Seymour, 8th Marquess of Hertford and Pamela Térèse Louise de Chimay.

He attended Harrow School in London and studied at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester .

On December 15, 1990, he married Beatriz Karam, who came from Brazil . He has four children with her:

  • Lady Gabriella Helen Seymour (* 1992)
  • William Francis Seymour, Earl of Yarmouth (* 1993)
  • Lord Edward George Seymour (* 1995)
  • Lady Antonia Louisa Seymour (* 1998)

He lives in the Ragley Hall family estate near Alcester , Warwickshire, from where he has been managing the family's estates since 1991.

When his father died on December 22, 1997, he inherited his title including the associated seat in the House of Lords . As early as 1999 he lost his hereditary right to a seat in parliament with the House of Lords Act .
