Herb Bushler

Herb Bushler (born March 7, 1939 in New York City ) is an American jazz and fusion bassist (mostly electric bass ) and conductor.

Live and act

Bushler had piano lessons between 1947 and 1949. He then switched to the tuba and the double bass and came to the bass guitar in 1965. 1964 and 1965 he worked with Ted Curson to from 1967 to 1981 again with the Orchestra of Gil Evans to play, so in 1975 the album There Comes a Time . He also recorded several albums with Dave Amram . In 1969 he was one of The Fifth Dimension , then to the Paul Winter Consort (1970) and the Lifetime of Tony Williams (1971 to 1973). He also worked with Joe Farrell and Harold Vick before joining the bands of Ryō Kawasaki (1975 to 1976) and David Sanborn (1979 to 1981). Between 1966 and 1980 he helped further Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson in orchestrating and also served as conductor of the Negro Ensemble Co. operates. He also worked with Dee Dee Bridgewater , Blossom Dearie , Billy Harper , Les McCann , Enrico Rava , Joe Chambers and Howard Johnson .
