Herbert Bittner (born May 22, 1952 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Bittner denied in the Bundesliga in the 1970/71 season his first Bundesliga game when on 30. Match the away game of Arminia Bielefeld at SV Werder Bremen came on in the 61st minute. The game ended 4: 1 for Werder; it remained Bittner's only commitment for the Bielefeld. For the new season he moved to SV Arminia Hannover , where he stayed until 1973. From 1973 Bittner ran for SC Herford and was active for this in a total of four seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the second year the descent followed, which was followed by the direct resurgence, Bittner stayed in Herford until he was relegated again in 1981. He is the player with the most second division appearances for the Herford team, he wore the Herford jersey in 146 second division games in which he scored 22 goals. For Bittner, this was followed by a short stay in the Bundesliga at Eintracht Braunschweig , where he made three appearances. He did not play any of the full length games and all were lost. He then played for VfL Osnabrück , where he stayed until 1984 and then returned to SC Herford.
