Herbert Dombrowski

Herbert Dombrowski (born May 9, 1935 ) is a former German table tennis player . With the club DJK TuSA 06 Düsseldorf he was four times German team champion in the 1960s.

Career

Herbert Dombrowski played in the 1950s for the Düsseldorf club DJK Rheinfranken. He later switched to DJK TuSA 06 Düsseldorf . With this association he was 1962, 1963 and 1965 together with u. a. Eberhard Schöler , Dieter Forster , Hans-Jörg Offergeld and Franz-Walter Beyss German team champions, although at that time the championship was played in a final tournament between the champions of the major leagues. After the introduction of the Bundesliga , the club immediately won the title again at the end of the 1966/67 season with the help of Herbert Dombrowski.

When DJK TuSA 06 Düsseldorf was relegated from the Bundesliga in 1971, he remained loyal to the club and continued to play in the major league. In 1995 he was made an honorary member of the association.
