Herbert G. Mende

Herbert Gerhard Mende (born January 3, 1915 in Göttingen , † 1987 in Bielefeld ) was a German engineer and author .

As a senior secondary school graduate in Leipzig , he wrote his first specialist article “Radio for All”; over 1200 should follow. From 1935 he studied at the higher technical college Gauß and at the Hertz Institute of the TH Berlin and in 1942 acquired the grad. Ing.

He then worked at Siemens and Telefunken . During the Second World War , as a member of the Richthofen Fighter Wing, he was involved in electronic developments for the Air Force. In 1950 he settled in Brackwede .

He left 5.5 running meters of files etc. to the German Economic Archives.
