Herbert K. Haas
Herbert Haas (after Herbert K. Haas in the US ) (born December 17, 1954 in Bad Urach ) is a German business economist and insurance manager.
Career
Haas grew up in Bad Urach. After graduating from high school , he studied business administration in West Berlin at the Technical University of Berlin with a focus on taxation and business law . After completing his studies in 1980, he became a consultant at the Federal Insurance Supervisory Office . In 1982 he moved to E + S Rück as assistant to the board . This was followed by positions within Hannover Re at foreign subsidiaries, for example in the USA. In 1994 he was appointed to the board, initially as chief financial officer. In 2002 Haas moved to Talanx . From 2006 to 2018 he was Chairman of the Board of Management of the third largest insurance company in Germany . Haas has been Chairman of the Talanx Supervisory Board since 2018.
