Herbert Kubis

Herbert Kubis (born March 13, 1930 ; † January 29, 2011 in Hanover ) was a German social economist and professor at the Evangelical University of Applied Sciences in Hanover .

Life

In 1965 he began his work as a lecturer at the previous facility of the Evangelical University of Applied Sciences in Hanover. In the following years he helped to build up the college. The main topic of his teaching and research was homelessness . He coined the day meeting concept for the homeless. From 1972 to 1975 he was deputy rector of the university and in 1975 was entrusted with the administration of the rector. From 1984 to 1990, Kubis was the chairman of the Hanover youth works settlement.

Kubis was married and had four children.
