Herbert Lins

Herbert Lins (born April 5, 1896 in Satteins ; † April 26, 1969 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Lins was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1953 to 1962 .

Live and act

After attending compulsory schools, Herbert Lins first became a textile merchant before he took over the management of the consumer association in his home town of Satteins in Vorarlberg's Walgau in 1918 . In addition, he worked in the textile wholesale and retail trade in Feldkirch and as a self-employed textile merchant in Rankweil .

In 1936 Herbert Lins was elected mayor of the community of Satteins for the first time, although he had to give up this office again in 1938 when the National Socialists came to power in Austria. From 1946 to 1948 he was again the mayor of Satteins. In 1946 he was also elected chamber councilor in the trade section of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce . He was also chairman of the Vorarlberger Wirtschaftsbund as well as a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federal Chamber of Commerce in Vienna. In 1952, Lins was appointed to the Council of Commerce .

From March 18, 1953 to January 11, 1962 Herbert Lins also represented the Austrian People's Party as a member of the National Council.
