Herbert Lippert (medical doctor)

Herbert Lippert (born June 28, 1930 in Horaschdowitz ) is a German anatomist .

Life

Herbert Lippert studied medicine , psychology and philosophy . In 1953 he was at the University of Munich with a thesis on The Sensation: A Cultural psychopathological study of Doctor of Medicine and in 1959 with General pharmacopsychology Doctor of Philosophy PhD . From 1953 to 1966 he worked at the University of Munich, where he received his habilitation in medicine in 1962 with the work The late embryonic development of human foot bones . In 1966 he was offered a position at the Hannover Medical School . 1983/84 he was President of the Anatomical Society . In 1992 he retired.

Lippert is the author of numerous textbooks on anatomy and related topics. He advocates the subject of “anatomy in the living” in order to counteract a “ dehumanization ” of the later doctors. He founded a corresponding course and published several books on the subject.
