Herbert Raditschnig

Herbert Raditschnig (born October 26, 1934 in Carinthia ; † May 6, 2006 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian cameraman and documentary filmmaker .

Raditschnig started out as a professional soldier; As a mountain guide, he was responsible for the qualified alpine training of Austrian soldiers. At the beginning he made homeland films in Austria as well as educational films for the Austrian Armed Forces and worked with Heinrich Harrer before he went to the USA and made films and documentaries there. In the course of his career he turned a. a. two James Bond films. The legendary ski chases in particular made him famous.

Raditschnig died of a stroke at the age of 71 .
