Herbert Schlögel
Herbert Schlögel OP (born December 17, 1949 in Nuremberg ) is a German moral theologian .
Life
Herbert Schlögel studied theology and philosophy at the Albertus Magnus Academy ( Dominican monastery St. Albert ) in Bornheim - Walberberg . He received the sacrament of ordination in 1974 and then worked as a pastor . After receiving his doctorate in theology in 1981, he was a consultant for questions of faith in the secretariat of the German Bishops 'Conference and secretary of the Faith Commission of the German Bishops' Conference. Between 1988 and 1991 he completed a post-doctoral degree in the moral theology department in Würzburg . From 1991 to 1994 he was a lecturer in moral theology at the Catholic Theol. Faculty of the University of Würzburg and had a teaching position for moral theology at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Cologne .
From 1994 to 2015 Herbert Schlögel was Professor of Moral Theology at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Regensburg.
