Herbert Tjadens

Herbert Tjadens (born October 2, 1897 in Elberfeld , German Empire , † November 25, 1981 in Baden-Baden ) was a German writer and screenwriter .

Live and act

The son of the writer Heinrich Tjadens studied art and theater history at the University of Berlin before he began to write himself Herbert Tjadens wrote, among other things, plays (e.g. love, cunning and night ghosts ) and numerous short stories (e.g. the bamboo grove ). Tjadens was rarely active in the film; He wrote several scripts (in collaboration with other authors), worked as a dialogue writer (for August the Strong , 1935) and in 1938 provided the story for the adventure and war film Riot in Damascus . After the war, Tjadens settled in Baden-Baden, where he spent his twilight years.
