Herbert Trautmann

Herbert Trautmann (born November 29, 1948 in Ludwigshafen , † June 10, 2006 in Bad Dürkheim ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Attending elementary school in Bad Dürkheim from 1955 to 1963 was followed by an apprenticeship as a draftsman and vocational school until 1966 . After the journeyman's examination in 1966, the vocational school in Kaiserslautern followed until 1967 , which he graduated with the qualification for technical college . From 1967 to 1971 he studied at the state engineering school in Kaiserslautern and graduated as an engineer (grad.) Structural engineering. Since 1971 he worked as an engineer in an architecture office in Bad Dürkheim.

Political party

Trautmann became a member of the CDU in 1966. From 1966 to 1970 he was chairman of the JU in Bad Dürkheim and a member of the JU district committee. In addition, he was active as a member of the district board, deputy chairman of the district association of the JU Rheinhessen-Pfalz and on the state board of the JU. In the CDU he was a board member in the local and district association.

Public offices

Landtag Rhineland-Palatinate

Trautmann was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag in the 1971 state elections and was a member of it for two terms from May 18, 1971 to May 17, 1979. In the 7th electoral term he was a secretary and a member of the cultural policy committee, the petitions committee and the subcommittee “Improvement of Vocational Education and Training”. In the 8th electoral term he remained in the Committee on Petitions and also moved to the Committee on Agriculture, Viticulture and Environment and the Committee on Economy and Transport.

In 1979 he was a member of the 7th Federal Assembly .

Communal functions

He was a member of the city ​​council of Bad Dürkheim.

Other engagement

Trautmann was a member of the board of trustees of the state center for political education and a member of the state youth welfare committee.
