Herbert Wolff (State Secretary)

Herbert Wolff (born November 22, 1954 in Witten ) is a German political official . He has been State Secretary in various Saxon ministries since 2010 .

Life and work

Wolff studied law in Bonn from 1974 to 1981 . After his legal clerkship at the Cologne Higher Regional Court and the second state examination , he was a research assistant at the CDU- affiliated Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Sankt Augustin from 1985 . In the same year he became head of department in the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs .

In 1990 he moved to the Federal Chancellery . In May 1991, he joined the Saxon state administration: Wolff worked in the Saxon Ministry of Finance until 2001 . From 2001 to 2003 he was managing director of the Sächsische Landessiedlungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, after which he moved to the state chancellery . From 2007 he was head of department responsible for departmental coordination and Europe.

Wolff has been State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Environment and Agriculture (SMUL) since 2010 . In March 2012, he moved to the Saxon State Ministry for Culture (SMK) as State Secretary , before taking on the post of State Secretary in the SMUL again from November 2014. In 2017 he was again State Secretary in the SMK.

Herbert Wolff is a member of the Board of Directors of Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank .
