Herbert Zdarzil
Herbert Zdarzil (born October 1, 1928 in Vienna ; † December 14, 2008 there ) was an Austrian pedagogue who was primarily active in the field of pedagogical anthropology and andragogy . He was full professor at the University of Vienna from 1971 to 1997. From 1977 to 1979 he was dean, from 1977 to 1997 he was director of the teaching qualification examination committee. He was chairman of several university commissions (e.g. Senate Commission, Library Commission) and the representative of Austria in the University Commission of the Council of Europe. He was also a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Zdarzil was buried at the Hernalser Friedhof in Vienna.
