Herbi Lips
Herbert John "Herbi" Lips (born July 4, 1936 in Zurich ; † February 28, 2010 there ) was a Swiss entrepreneur , circus director and co-producer of various Swiss feature films (including Die Schweizermacher ).
In 1982 Lips founded the Zurich Christmas circus Conelli together with Conny Gasser and Joe Bürli . In 2004 he and Conny Gasser received the Honorary Prix Walo . In 2007, on the occasion of the 25-year premiere, the Zurich Leu award in gold from the city of Zurich. The award was presented by the then mayor Elmar Ledergerber .
On February 28, 2010, Herbi Lips succumbed to his long-term cancer in the Zurich “Klinik Im Park” . He left his wife Christine and five daughters.
