Heribert Germeshausen

Heribert Germeshausen (* 15. February 1971 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German playwright and since 2018 opera intendant of Dortmund.

Career

Germeshausen graduated from high school at the city wall in Bad Kreuznach in 1990 . He studied law at the University of Passau , the University of Heidelberg and the University of Lausanne . He also completed a degree in business administration from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the KATZ Graduate School of Business in Pittsburgh .

From 2004 he embarked on a theater career and initially worked as a dramaturge at the Koblenz Theater and at the Salzburg Festival while Peter Ruzicka was director . From 2008 he worked at the Bonn Opera , from 2009 he moved to Dessau to the Anhaltisches Theater as opera director and chief music dramaturge.

From 2011 to 2017 he was opera director at the Heidelberg Theater and Orchestra and artistic director of the baroque festival "Winter in Schwetzingen ".

Heribert Germeshausen is Jens-Daniel Herzog's successor at the Dortmund Opera .
