Heribert Kienberger

Heribert Kienberger (born February 12, 1922 in Artstetten (today the municipality of Artstetten-Pöbring ), † October 22, 1983 in Mayrhofen ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 1964 to 1979 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Kienberger attended the commercial academy and graduated with the Matura. He served in World War II between 1940 and 1945 and became mayor of Artstetten in 1950. After the municipal consolidation and the creation of the municipality of Artstetten-Pöbring, Kienberger became mayor of the newly created municipality in 1966, after which he was a councilor from 1975 to 1980. He represented the ÖVP between November 19, 1964 and April 19, 1979 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was also deputy chairman of the Association of Rural Cooperatives and chairman of the Lower Austrian cattle exploitation cooperative. He was awarded the professional title of Economics Council.
