Herler Wacken
The Herler Wacken are a quartzitic rock range north of Herl in the Trier-Saarburg district , Rhineland-Palatinate . The length of the natural monument is around 500 meters, the height of individual rocks up to 20 meters. Easy or difficult climbing sections are possible. It takes about half an hour to hike around the mountain range.
The area lies at an altitude of about 410 to 460 meters above sea level.
The Herler Wacken are located on the so-called Traumschleife Schiefer-Wackenweg Ruwer of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steiges .
