Adolf Herluf Winge (born March 19, 1857 in Copenhagen , † November 10, 1923 in Hellerup ) was a Danish zoologist .

Live and act

Adolf Herluf Winge was the son of Karl Gustav Winge and his wife Anna Kirstine Mønster. He began to study in Copenhagen in 1874 and received his master's degree in 1881. In 1883 he began to work at the Copenhagen Zoological Museum , where he became vice-inspector in 1885.

Winges specialties were the Mammalogy (Mammalogy) and Ornithology . Another focus of his research was the fauna of Greenland .
