Herman Jeurissen

Herman Jeurissen (born December 27, 1952 in Wijchen ) is a Dutch horn player .

Jeurissen studied horn with Adriaan van Woudenberg and Michael Höltzel . In 1978 he was engaged as solo horn player at Residentie Orkest Den Haag . Since then he has also taken care of the horn class at the Brabants Conservatorium Tilburg . Jeurissen has also taught natural horn at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague since 1998 .

Jeurissen is also a lecturer at various horn symposia and master courses. He focused his artistic interest primarily on works for horn that remained unknown.

He was awarded the Prix d'excellence in 1978. In 1979 he received the Silver Wreath from the Friends of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam .
