Hermann Michael Baumstark (born August 12, 1839 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † February 2, 1876 in Cincinnati ) was a German theologian.

Hermann Baumstark, brother of Reinhold Baumstark , studied Protestant theology in Heidelberg and Leipzig , went to North America in 1860, where he became a professor at the Lutheran Concordia College in St. Louis, then lived, like his brother Reinhold, who had converted to the Catholic Church, as an editor in Cincinnati and died there February 2, 1876.

We have a history of the Christian Church from him (St. Louis 1867, Vol. 1) and the work Our Paths to the Catholic Church, which he wrote together with his brother Reinhold . He was the son of Anton Baumstark senior (1800–1876).
