Hermann Theodor Breitenbach (born September 9, 1883 in Hagelloch ; † 1967 ) was a Swiss classical philologist and high school teacher.
Breitenbach, son of the evangelical pastor Theodor Breitenbach, grew up in Tübingen after the death of his father and from 1901 in Basel , the hometown of his mother Selma Buser. He studied Classical Philology at the University of Basel , where he received his doctorate in 1908. He then worked as a teacher for Greek and Latin at the Solothurn Cantonal School .
