Hermann Brockmann

Hermann Brockmann (born June 12, 1892 in Paderborn ; † August 30, 1953 in Bad Lippspringe ) was a German politician (SPD).

Brockmann did an apprenticeship as a locksmith after elementary school and worked for the Deutsche Reichsbahn . Since 1919 he was a member of the SPD . For this party Brockmann sat from 1924 to 1930 in the city council in Paderborn. He was also active in the German Railway Association . From 1926 to 1927 he attended the Academy of Labor in Frankfurt am Main and from 1930 to 1933 was union secretary of the railway association. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was until 1935 in " protective custody ". He then worked as a self-employed locksmith until 1938, after which he worked as a civilian worker in the military, first in Paderborn, then in Posen and finally again in Paderborn. Immediately after the end of the war he became a member of the citizens' council in Paderborn and a short time later a city representative. In 1946 he was a member of the appointed Provincial Landtag of Westphalia.

Brockmann was also a member of the appointed state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . Via the state list, he then belonged to the first two terms of the state parliament.

Brockmann was the younger brother of the Federal and State Parliament member Johannes Brockmann (center).
