Hermann Adolf Brodbeck (born July 10, 1849 in Untertürkheim , † April 1, 1912 in Esslingen am Neckar ) was a German brewery owner, innkeeper and politician.

Life

Brodbeck attended the Latin school in Esslingen am Neckar from 1855 to 1863 and then learned a businessman. From 1871 to 1893 he was the brewery owner and share brewery director in Esslingen. From 1895 he owned a hotel in Esslingen.

From 1889 to 1893 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates . From 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 5 ( Esslingen , Nürtingen , Kirchheim , Urach ) and the German People's Party . He had to surrender his seat on June 20, 1899 because of formal errors in the election and did not run for the by-election.

From 1890 until his death he was a member of the Esslingen municipal council. He founded the general citizens' association in Esslingen and was its first director. He also worked as a market and department store inspector and as a director of the calibration office. Brodbeck was also captain of the Esslingen volunteer fire department.
