Hermann Deumeland

Hermann Deumeland (born January 31, 1860 in Beienrode , † November 17, 1934 in Flechtorf ) was a member of the Brunswick state parliament and farmer .

Political activity

The farmer Deumeland was a member of the parliament in Braunschweig from 1904 to 1930, first for the National Liberal Party and later for the German People's Party . His work focus was on agricultural issues. In addition to his participation in the committees for agriculture , he was also active outside parliament. Deumeland was the founder of the Lower Saxony Land Association , co-founder of the Association of Farmers , 2nd Chairman of the Braunschweig Land Association and publisher of the farmers' newspaper Ahr and Halm . This association activity helped him to gain some reputation in the rural population. The NSDAP took advantage of this reputation when Deumeland converted from the German People's Party at the end of 1930. There he took on the role of agricultural district adviser.
