Hermann Ebel (painter)
Hermann Ebel (* 1713 in Rüsselsheim ; † October 1, 1781 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German painter .
Life
Ebel was a student and assistant to the painter Johann Christian Fiedler in Darmstadt for nine years . Then Ebel moved to Munich in the studio of the portrait painter George Desmarées , whom he accompanied on almost all of his study trips and for whom he performed the garments on his pictures.
When Desmarées died at the beginning of October 1746, Ebel closed the studio in Munich and settled in Frankfurt as a freelance painter of miniature portraits, among other things.
