Life

Ebel was a student and assistant to the painter Johann Christian Fiedler in Darmstadt for nine years . Then Ebel moved to Munich in the studio of the portrait painter George Desmarées , whom he accompanied on almost all of his study trips and for whom he performed the garments on his pictures.
