Hermann F. Boettcher

Hermann Fried Böttcher (* 1937 ) is a German psychologist who made a significant contribution to the institutionalization of psychotherapy in the GDR .

Life

Böttcher received the Facultas Docendi for Psychology at the University of Leipzig in 1971 . From 1964 to 1976 he was employed psychologist in the department for psychotherapy and neurosis research at the same university, and from 1977 to 2002 in the clinic for psychosomatics and psychotherapy Dresden-Weißer Hirsch . He was u. a. Co-founder of the Dynamic Group Psychotherapy Section of the Society for Medical Psychotherapy . He explores u. a. the psycho prophylaxis in industry and group structures . The Society for Medical Psychotherapy of the GDR awarded him the John Rittmeister Medal .
