Hermann Franke (surgeon)

Hermann Franke (born April 26, 1911 in Bunzlau , † 1991 in Nuremberg ) was a German surgeon.

Life

Franke studied medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and was active in the Corps Makaria Munich in 1930 . He was approved in 1936 . He was a student of Ernst Derra at the Medical Academy in Düsseldorf . He completed his habilitation with him in 1949. In 1958 he was head of the surgical clinic of the Nuremberg Municipal Hospital . In 1962 he became an associate professor at the Free University of Berlin and chief surgeon at the DRK hospital in Westend . From 1969 to 1976 he held the new chair at the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital in Steglitz.
