Hermann Garbe

Hermann Garbe (born February 24, 1874 in Sandow near Cottbus; † in the 20th century) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Garbe attended elementary school and worked as a miner from 1901 to 1907 . He became a member of the SPD and the union. From September 1907 to January 1920 he was the full-time district manager of the German Miners' Association based in Senftenberg , and from 1910 in Halle / Saale. From January 15, 1920 to 1928 he was managing director or director of the Central German Brown Coal Syndicate in Halle, and from 1925 in Leipzig. In accordance with the schedule, he resigned from the management in May 1933. The further path in life is unknown.

In 1912 he was a candidate in the Reichstag elections for the constituency of Merseburg . He was chairman of the press commission of the “ Volksstimme ” Halle / Saale and managing director, member of the SPD district committee Merseburg and board member of the SPD electoral association Halle.

After the November Revolution he was elected to the constituent Prussian state assembly in 1919 . In 1921 he was elected to the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony and belonged to it until 1925. The provincial parliament elected him to the Prussian State Council . He was a deputy member of the Council of State from October 11, 1921 to January 25, 1925 and as a full member from January 25 to April 1925.
