Hermann Geiger (politician)

Hermann Geiger (born December 19, 1946 in Echlishausen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

After reaching secondary school, Geiger did an apprenticeship in agriculture and attended engineering school. He studied agricultural sciences and graduated with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing.-Agr. (univ.). Geiger has been working in the agricultural administration since 1975.

In 1971 Geiger became a member of the SPD, where he became sub-district chairman in Neu-Ulm in 1997 . From 1984 to 2014 he was a city councilor in Weißenhorn , where he lived for 25 years as parliamentary group leader. From 1990 to 2014 he was district administrator and deputy district administrator in Neu-Ulm for six years . From 1998 to 2003 he also sat in the Bavarian state parliament . There he was a member of the Petitions and Social Committee.
