Hermann Hansing (born January 20, 1908 in Seelze , † November 25, 1977 in Bremen ) was a German politician of the SPD .

biography

Life and work

Hansing, who was a Protestant , grew up in Seelze near Hanover. After attending primary school , Hansing completed an apprenticeship in the molding trade ( caster ) and worked in this profession. During his apprenticeship, he joined the German Metalworkers' Association in 1923 . In 1933 he was dismissed by his employer for political reasons and survived until 1939 with odd jobs. In 1939 he passed the master craftsman examination and worked as a former master in Bremen and Hildesheim until the end of the war .

After the Second World War , Hansing worked for International Refugee Aid until 1952 .

politics

Hansing had been a member of the SPD since 1926. In 1932 he was elected to the board of directors of the Hanover sub-district . In 1933 Hansing was a member of the community council of Seelze for a few months.

After the war, his influence in the SPD in Bremen grew. He became chairman of the SPD in Bremen - Hastedt . Hansing was a member of the Bremen citizenship from 1947 to September 28, 1953 . He worked in the Deputations for Health (1947), Justice (1949), Food and Agriculture (1951) and Housing (1951). In the early 1950s he became a full-time secretary of the SPD parliamentary group in Bremen. In 1952 he was elected to the board and in 1958 chairman of the SPD in Bremen. From 1952 he was also deputy state chairman of the SPD in Bremen.

From October 6, 1953 to 1972 he was a member of the German Bundestag , where he represented the constituency of Bremen-Ost .

Around 1958 and in the 1960s, Hansing criticized Richard Boljahn, chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in Bremen, for his arbitrariness. Hansing, however, was integrated into the network of mutual obligations through a consulting contract with Neue Heimat . He was a typical representative of the SPD as a workers' party, but who was rather skeptical about recent developments. In November 1977, shortly before his death, Hansing was elected to the Federal Party's Control Commission at the SPD party conference in Hamburg .
