Hermann Heberlein (politician)

Hermann Heberlein (born April 8, 1922 in Hamburg , † September 22, 1999 ) was a German politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD .

Life

After graduating from secondary school , Hermann Heberlein did a commercial apprenticeship in wholesale and foreign trade. In 1941 he was drafted as a soldier. After the war he worked as a commercial clerk. From 1950 to 1952 he completed his studies at the Academy for Community Economics with a degree in economics . In 1958, after passing the appropriate examination, he was accepted into the civil service as a civil servant.

politics

In 1946 Hermann Heberlein joined the SPD. In addition to functions within the party, he worked on a voluntary basis, primarily in associations and organizations that dealt with the expansion and beautification of the Hamburg-Horn district, which was very destroyed in the war .

From 1966 to 1974 and from 1978 to 1982 he was elected as a member of the Hamburg parliament. He mainly worked in the committees for school and vocational training and social affairs and youth .

The Hermann-Heberlein-Ring in Hamburg-Horn was named after him for his services to the district .
