Hermann Heinzel

Hermann Heinzel (born February 11, 1910 in Breslau , German Reich ; † May 1, 1945 , Czechoslovakia , Eastern Front ) was a German football player . Heinzel played for SC Hertha Breslau in the 1930s and 1940s .

At the age of not even twelve, Heinzel joined SC Hertha Breslau and from then on went through all age groups of the youth teams. Out of adolescence, he moved to the first team.

Heinzel played in defense as a right or left full-back , but was also used in defensive midfield . With his club he played in the Gauliga Silesia and with their selection in the Reichsbundpokal . For example, he came as a middle runner on November 22, 1936 in Beuthen with Silesia on the side of players such as Wilhelm Koppa , Fritz Langner and Richard Malik against Lower Saxony (1: 2).

In 1943 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht . He did not survive the war itself; in the last year of the war he fell on the Eastern Front .
