Hermann Kaienburg

Hermann Kaienburg (born March 12, 1950 in Kapellen (Moers) ) is a German historian and research assistant at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial .

Kaienburg attended school from 1956 to 1968 in Kapellen-Vennikel and Neukirchen-Vluyn . Abitur in 1968 and then until 1969 abroad in England . He completed a degree in history and political science and obtained his doctorate in 1989. phil. Kaienburg was involved in the design of the exhibition at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial until 2005 . He published on the history of the National Socialist concentration camps. Since 2003, he has been teaching social and economic history as a private lecturer at the University of Hamburg . Kaienburg, who also taught as a school teacher, is also active in adult education.
