Hermann Krojanker
Hermann Krojanker (born July 21, 1885 in Berlin ; died August 21, 1935 there ) was a German- Jewish entrepreneur and shoe manufacturer.
Life
After attending the Köllnisches Gymnasium and a commercial apprenticeship in his hometown, Krojanker volunteered in London, Paris and Nancy and in 1907 joined the shoe factory “ Conrad Tack & Cie. AG ”in Burg near Magdeburg. After his death in 1924 he took over the post of general director himself. Until 1929 his brother Gustav was also a member of the board.
By 1930, Krojanker had expanded Tack AG's network of branches to over 130 branches in Germany, thus maintaining the largest sales network of any shoe factory in Europe.
As a board member of the Association of Berlin Commercial Judges, the Association of Berlin Merchants and Industrialists and the Association of German Branch Companies, Krojanker played an important role as an association functionary and lobbyist in German business life.
Due to the global economic crisis and after the seizure of power of the Nazis in 1933 sold the company to his Krojanker largest leather suppliers, the Carl Freudenberg GmbH in wine Hein after negotiations with the personnel and financial officers Richard Freudenberg . The sale brought in the usual proceeds in the anti-Semitic German Reich at the beginning of the Nazi era . The branch network was expanded to 140 sales outlets under the well-known name "Tack" by the Second World War.
Krojanker first emigrated to Meran , later to Paris and returned to Berlin in 1934, where he committed suicide in August 1935.
